Futuristic Bio- Surfaces

This collection is a self directed brief for my final project in university. I have chosen to base my concept on biological surfaces and botanical forms-focusing on texture and habitats within our natural world.  Using my interest in vivid tones and patterns, I have used captivating colours and abstract layers to create a collection that represents natures beauty.  Using my own interest in the well being of the environment,  I have also explored components that have negative connections to climate change - for example the surface of sea coral. Using these areas of inspiration and exploration into trends and artists I chose to bring a 'futuristic' mood to my collection through colour, shape and form -  this includes the use of luminous brights and uniquely shaped foliage, bringing an 'other worldly' appeal to the overall designs.
